Lamination cost is directly proportional to the total area covered (m²). Total area = (Width × Length ÷ 10,000) × Quantity (dimensions in cm, doubled for both sides). Cost is that area times the film's unit price; matte and gloss are the most economical, soft-touch and metallic the priciest.

Worked example
For a 25 × 15 cm box surface and 5,000 pieces: (25 × 15 ÷ 10,000) × 5,000 = 0.0375 × 5,000 = 187.5 m² of total coverage. If your unit price is 5 ₺/m², the approximate cost is 187.5 × 5 = 937.5 ₺ (doubling the area for both-sides coverage).

How is lamination cost calculated?
Lamination cost is directly proportional to the total area covered. First find the total area: (Width × Length ÷ 10,000) × Quantity, dimensions in centimetres. Then multiply that area by the film's unit price (₺/m²). Both-sides coverage doubles the area.
Which finish is more expensive?
Matte and gloss are the most economical and close in price. Pearl is mid; silver and gold metallic and scratch-proof are high; soft-touch and special-effect films are the highest. Most special films are imported and can run up to about four to five times a plain film.
Why is the area based on the production sheet?
The film is applied to the whole printed sheet before cutting. So the real cost depends on the total production-sheet area, not the net box size. This calculator gives an approximate value from the surface area; a firm quote also accounts for sheet layout.
Does this tool give a firm price?
