What is Waste (Fire)?

Waste is the share of material that cannot be used in production, driven by cutting layout, print make-ready and how the order width fits the material. It is applied as a multiplier on cost (e.g. 8% waste = ×1.08).

Example: Waste is typically 5-10% for corrugated and 3-8% for folding cartons.
